  • Ian Manners

    Ian Manners

    Ian started Zenith Promotions on July 1st 1990. Prior to that Ian worked as the Director of Sales and Hire for a marquee and structures company for 4 years. Ian has combined his experience in the marquee hire and structures industry with that of managing a pub and restaurant in Gloucestershire. Added to that, the six years Ian spent working for Castrol Oil in their motorsports department handling all Castrol’s involvement in motorcycle racing and rallycross was a good grounding for learning about publicity, promotions and the hospitality and exhibition industry.

    Ian is also an author having written 2 novels, ‘Where Do I Belong?’ and ‘Unfinished Business’. He is currently working on a non-fiction story ‘Our Brother Mr President’.

    Ian has one son, Geoffrey, three daughters, Hannah, Akinyi and Esther and two grandchildren, Lillah and Elsie.

    Ian is an active sportsman captaining Bracknell Squash 3rd Team, coaching his son Geoffrey’s U10 Rugby Team at Bracknell and going to the Gym.

  • Craig Gilbert

    Craig Gilbert

    Craig started working for Zenith at the age of 16 in the summer of 1991 and continued to work on a part time basis whenever not at school or university.

    After completing his degree in Mathematics at Portsmouth University in 1996 he joined full time as Operations Manager. In 2004 when Zenith Canopy Structures Limited was registered, he became a Director.

    A family man, with two very active children, Craig’s weekends normally involve days out with wife Michelle, son James and Daughter Gemma.

    Craig is also the Manager of his son’s U11’s football team at Binfield Football Club and is hoping to undertake his FA level 2 badge soon.

  • Alasdair Reid

    Alasdair Reid

    Operations Manager

    Al joined Zenith full time as Operations Manager in January 2006. He has, however, worked for Zenith every summer since leaving school.

    After graduating from the Guitar Institute with a degree in Popular Music Performance, Al went on to teach classical and electric guitar in schools around Berkshire. Al also runs a successful function band.

    Al is also an avid photographer and is racking up the photos of his new best subject, his son Ben.

    Gemma Gurney

    Business Development Manager

    Gemma joined Zenith in May 2013 having previously worked in recruitment and more recently as a Bank Manager for a well known high street bank. Following a move from Leeds to Berkshire Gemma has taken a career break for a number of years to look after her young family.

    Her new role involves utilising her strong sales background to speak to our customers in order to refine our database to ensure we are targeting the right people in the correct manner.

    Gemma is a loving mum to two young boys and enjoys nothing more at the weekend than relaxing and spending time with her family.

    Dec Lynch

    Warehouse Manager

    Dec has been with us since June 2014 and is in charge of all things warehouse. From general storage to overseeing all shipments in and out, Dec is an invaluable member of the team.

    Dec loves his football but unfortunately has a terrible taste in football teams, supporting Newcastle United. He also loves spending time with his growing family.

  • John Corby

    John Corby

    Sales Apprentice

    John has recently joined Zenith on an apprenticeship scheme to develop his skills in a sales and marketing role.

    John has fitted into the team perfectly and we look forward to working with him to complete a successful apprenticeship at Zenith

    John is a keen footballer and, after successfully passing his driving test, can now drive to the games!

About us

Zenith Promotions Zenith Promotions was established in 1990 as a specialist exhibition marquee company supplying marquees mainly to the commercial market place.

Zenith was started by Ian Manners on July 1st 1990. Craig Gilbert, who had previously worked for us during school and university holidays, joined us as Operations Manager in 1996.

We work in a safe manner and ensure that you have a good understanding of our products
  • CHAS

    We are CHAS (Contractor Health & Safety Assessment Scheme) accredited and a Constructionline approved contractor.
  • Health & Safety

    Health & Safety is of paramount importance to us and we provide Risk Assessments and Method Statements for every project regardless of size.
  • Training our staff

    We have a strong commitment to training our staff. We operate an on-going on and off site training programme so that our customers are dealing with Zenith staff that work in a safe manner and have a good understanding of our products.
  • Certification

    All our staff are DBS checked and hold CSCS cards under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme. Furthermore, our staff, where appropriate are PASMA, IOSH and SSSTS qualified.

    Zenith Canopy Structures recognises the importance of meeting the environmental challenges that we come across as a result of our own operations. We also realise the importance of supporting our customers in meeting their own environmental objectives.

    To meet these objectives we have set out our policy objectives which we will review on an on-going basis.

    • We have an ongoing development of environmental issues as required by compliance to legislation.
    • Applies to personnel/operations at our premises and on site.
    • We exercise due care in waste disposal as a result of company activities.
    • In customer relationships, we take practical steps to prevent pollution, reduce energy consumption and waste.
    • We encourage re-use of material where feasible, when it does not compromise our product/service.
    • We aim to reduce our impact on the environment.
    • We implement environmentally responsible policies/products throughout our operations.
